Believing that children are our future...
Understanding that the foundation for a lifetime of growth and achievement begins before birth and is significantly developed before the age of 6...
United Way Success By 6 is a community initiative led by the United Way of Southern Chautauqua County, educational institutions, human service organizations, and businesses.
Success By 6 is creating a shared vision for our children's well-being by:
- Coordinating efforts to form the best comprehensive early childhood development programs possible
- Focusing community resources
- Recognizing that parents are a child's first and best teacher, and that good parent skills can be learned
- Understanding that parents and caregivers have a direct effect on the lives of the young children they care for
- Advocating for the best physical, intellectual and emotional care for all young children in Chautauqua County
Mission Statement:
Caring for our children is both a family and community responsibility and is best approached in a comprehensive and culturally sensitive manner. Through advocacy, we are dedicated to ensuring that all young children have the necessary mental, physical, social and emotional development opportunities for growth and learning.
